Job Description	* CICS (Customer Information Control System) is a family of application servers and connectors that provides industrial-strength, online transaction management and connectivity for mission-critical applications. CICS can also be called server software to run and manage applications which have the following characteristics: I) Access and update shared resources concurrently. II) Perform tasks that are of short duration III) Are executed repetitively by many users # In addition CICS supports: 1) Distributed applications 2) Coordinated updates across multiple resource managers and multiple distributed CICS system. # Relevant Experience should be 2 years # Total Experience should be 3-10 yrears # Perform IBM and ISV product installs and upgrades related to CICS (such as XPediter/CICS, Abend-Aid/CICS, Intertest/CICS, Omegamon/CICS, CEMT/Batch, CICS Message, etc.) # JCL Job coding # Perform CICS oncall support # Usage of CEMT, CEDA, CEDF etc. transactions with various options # Ability to determine if a problem is with CICS or some other subsystem # Use Omegamon to find source of CICS problems # Recognize symptoms of CICS region problems # Use the Problem / Change management Tools to monitor and assign Problems/Changes # Attend change control meetings and coordinate change implementation. Monitor for CICS performance problems and implement changes to ensure SLAs are met. # Participate in Disaster Recovery Tests # 15 or more years of education required Work Location : Bangalore , Chennai
